The FAO Legal Office provides in-house counsel in accordance with the Basic Texts of the Organization, gives legal advisory services to FAO members, assists in the formulation of treaties on food and agriculture, for which the Director-General acts as Depositary, publishes legal studies and maintains a database (FAOLEX) of national legislation and international agreements concerning food and agriculture (including fisheries, forestry and water).

This Decree by the Council of Ministers declares land consolidation in some regions in Turkey. Land which are subject to consolidation are specified in the original text. This Decree will enter into force based on Article 17 of Law No. 5403 on Soil Preservation and Land Utilization upon the request of the Ministry of Food Agriculture and Livestock.

Regional Law No. 3303/903-U-OZ “On management of land resources on the regional territory”.
The scope of this Regional Law shall be improvement of state regulation in the sphere of land property relations, originating in the process of ownership, tenancy and governance of land on the regional territory. Land governance shall be based upon the principles of efficiency, equity, publicity, openness and transparency. Land tenure must ensure ecosystems conservation, thus guaranteed reproductive qualities of agricultural land and forestland.

This Regional Law establishes types of agricultural land area within stock of agricultural land classified as particularly productive agricultural land areas that shall be prohibited for other uses.
