The FAO Legal Office provides in-house counsel in accordance with the Basic Texts of the Organization, gives legal advisory services to FAO members, assists in the formulation of treaties on food and agriculture, for which the Director-General acts as Depositary, publishes legal studies and maintains a database (FAOLEX) of national legislation and international agreements concerning food and agriculture (including fisheries, forestry and water).

This Regulation sets the rules aimed to define the necessary procedures for the reclamation of disturbed areas situated on the agricultural land (also agricultural, forestry and other similar activities) which needs a restoration of the above mentioned damaged areas, in order to improve the landscape and its quality in terms of soil and arable and/or usable land layer (provisions also determining the use of the humus layer; deeper layers, which after the processing, are suitable for development of vegetation: examples such as nontoxic clay and sands, loess clay, loam, weathered and smashed

This regulation imlementing Law No. 6092; determines the principles and procedures on the sales of olive, fig, hazelnut, citrus, and fruit plantations owned by foundations. The institution which is responsible of deciding the lands to be sold is the Directorate of Foundations. After the decision of the Directorate, the committee established for the sales of these plantations defines the price of each plantation according to the qualification and the amount of trees in that specific plantation. The regulation also specifies the requirements for those who want to buy the plantations.

This Ministerial Decree validates the rules for provision of public services and amenities in urban areas, except for the city of Minsk. The provisions include greening of urban areas, sanitary cleaning of the territory, i.e. consumer waste collection, sorting and disposal, organization of recreational areas for the population.
