A sample of 24 districts (1/3 of the Czech Republic) was used to evaluate the land market. Land prices depended on the area, culture and region of the plot. Sales of small plots (up to 1 ha) prevailed. These plots were usually purchased for non-agricultural use and their prices were many times higher than prices of large plots (above 5 ha) which are usually bought for agricultural purpose. Land market is not well developed, only 0.2-0.4% of the monitored area was sold each year. Compared with land prices in the west EU countries, land market prices in the Czech Republic are low.
Convergence process of agricultural land structures in the European Union
Economic development is associated with changes in the use of available production factors, including land. Under the Common Agricultural Policy of the European Union, land resources are no longer only a factor of agricultural production but they have become also a source of public goods. The aim of this article is to identify whether convergence processes in the development of agricultural land structures in the EU-25 take place in connection with the functioning of agriculture in the EU Member States under the CAP.

Research hypothesis: research of cadastral assessment models makes scientifically basic for purposeful improvement. Research goal to test the hypothesis: to explore development of cadastral valuation in Latvia, to analyze and to evaluate models of cadastral assessment and give proposals of improvement.
Agro-ecological Zoning; Guidelines
The procedures described in this publication are intended as optional guidelines to assist people throughout the world but particularly in developing countries to improve their own evaluations of their land and water resources and their own decisions on their use. Users' records and annotated experiences with the contents of the guidelines, comments on their usefulness and applicability and suggestions for improvements will be welcome to enable a future re-issue to be upgraded in the light of experience.
Agricultural land market in Slovakia
The agricultural land market in Slovakia has noted an increased dynamics recently. This situation is the result of entering big foreign investors, particularly car factories which bought agricultural land for construction purposes. It resulted in the raised prices of plots. Agricultural land prices sold for further agricultural use are markedly lower from those in the EU-15. Such prices are the third lowest ones within the new EU member countries.

This paper discusses issues surrounding indigenous land rights, sharing an understanding and information about land tenure and titling within Latin America. The study focuses on examples from the country level, with the aim of influencing policy coherence and legislation.In particular, Chapter four of this document examines the implications of indigenous land tenure for natural resource management, using case studies from Colombia, Costa Rica, Panama and Peru.
Land problems in the context of regional autonomy : Workshop proceeding, November to December 2002
Recognizing the need for an integrated land policy and anticipating the fundamental changes in the land administration system with the implementation of decentralization, the Government of Indonesia and the World Bank have engaged in a land policy dialogue during 2002-2003. The goal of the dialogue is to help the Government to develop a National Land Policy Framework. This report is a summary of workshops and interviews on land policy issues with central and local government officials, journalists and representatives of nongovernmental organizations.
