Almost every urban development issue relates to how land is accessed, valued and used, as well as how land use planning is conducted.
While LEGEND work has primarily focused on rural areas, with the UK Government stepping up its work on cities and urban development through programmes such as Infrastructure and Cities for Economic Development (ICED) and Cities Infrastructure for Growth, the case for a stronger focus on urban land governance has become increasingly clear.
LEGEND outputs reflect this, with findings on a range of urban land themes, in the context of the New Urban Agenda
