Article 1 of the present Law establishes that the compulsory transfer of property is admitted only if necessary and in the public interest; in such a case a full compensation shall be paid. The expropriation can apply to moveables, immoveables and rights and can be permanent or temporary In principle, expropriation of private property shall be limited to the minimum unavoidable.

This Act concerns laying-out and subdivision of land for purposes of local improvements in infrastructure such as water supply and sewerage. The Act shall not apply land of a certain size intended for cultivation or pasturage.

This Law provides for the division of movable and immovable property.All movable and immovable property used and administered by the State of Cambodia until the date of this Law shall become the State property, while all movable and immovable property used and administered by the Cambodian People Party shall become the property of the Cambodian People Party.

The present Act confirms the Agreement between the Government of Canada and the Government of Saskatchewan varying the Saskatchewan Natural Resources Transfer Agreement (1930), which transferred control of natural resources from the federal government to the Province.

This Act regulates the granting of permission for the acquisition of small dwellings and agricultural units. A permission is not required by residents of the same county in which the property to be acquired lies and in the other circumstances in section 1. The permission to acquire land shall be applied for with the respective county councils in accordance with sections 3 to 8. (8 sections)

This Act regulates the procedure to be taken by the Minister of Justice with regards to escheatable land. Escheat refers to the reversion of property to the crown in the absence of legal heirs. Section 1 gives the Minister of Justice the power to take possession of forfeited property.

Part 4 of article 8 of the Law of the RSFSR «On land charges» acquires a new wording. It reads as follows: «Land taxes for the area exceeding the fixed amount of allotment of the plots of land are charged doubly».

Transfer of the plots of land on condition of private property (ownership) for the purpose of subsidiary smallholding, truck farming, gardening and personal housing in towns, settlements and rural areas is carried out in accordance with land legislation currently in force.

This Federal Law establishes the legal basis of the activity in the field of land survey and cartography.
