The present Regulations enforce the Territorial Lands Act (R.S. 1985, c. T-7) and the Federal Real Property and Federal Immovable Act (S.C. 1991, c. 50). In particular the Regulations lays down provisions relating to the administration and disposition of oil and gas belonging to Her Majesty in right of Canada under all lands forming part of Canada but not within any province. Section 3 establishes that these Regulations apply only to Canada lands that are under the control, management and administration of the Minister.

The present Regulations enforce the Federal Real Property and Federal Immovables Act (S.C. 1991, c. 50). In particular, the Regulations lay down provisions relating to the leasing of oil and gas rights located on certain public lands. Section 3 establishes that subject to these Regulations, the Minister may, by way of lease, grant to any person the exclusive right to search for and take oil and gas within and under lands in the Provinces of British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario and Quebec. The purpose of this Regulation is to provide measures to prevent the risk of contamination from hazardous substances in the soil, at sea and in watercourses, as well as air pollution caused by noise and emissions of hazardous substances by implementing regular inspections with the aim to ensure that environmental quality and standards are maintained.

This Act concerns the control and licensing of electricity distribution, natural gas and petroleum businesses and renewable energy.

With the present Act the former Yukon Act is modernized and “Yukon” rather than “Yukon Territory” shall be the current usage standard. The text consists of 67 sections divided into 6 Parts as follows: Government (I); Administration of justice (II); Real property, water, oil and gas (III); Exercise of federal powers (IV); Legislative amendment (V); Transitional provisions (VI).

The present Regulation is enacted under the Petroleum and Natural Gas Act. In particular, the Regulation lays down provisions relating to terms and conditions of surface leases made in respect of the rights to the surface of land other than the surface rights of Crown land.

El presente Reglamento sobre valores guía en suelos para descontaminación de sitios afectados por emergencias ambientales y derrames, tiene por objeto establecer el listado de sustancias químicas y los valores guía a partir de los cuales se podrían provocar alteraciones perjudiciales a la calidad del suelo, a fin de evitar daños a la salud pública y al ambiente, así como establecer los procedimientos administrativos para la gestión del riesgo en casos de contaminación de suelo y medios con los que éste tenga contacto.

La presente Norma Oficial fija los límites máximos permisibles de los hidrocarburos en suelos (Tabla 1) y los lineamientos para el muestreo en la caracterización y especificaciones para la remediación. Su objetivo es contribuir a promover la remediación de suelos en sitios contaminados para reducir el impacto ambiental de los residuos.

El presente Decreto modifica el Reglamento sobre valores guía en suelos para descontaminación de sitios afectados por emergencias ambientales y derrames, en orden a establecer claramente las competencias del Ministerio de Salud y al ajuste de algunas definiciones técnicas.

These Regulations amend regulation 2 of the Control of Major Accident Hazards Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2000 so as to give effect to Article 30 of Directive 2012/18/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council on the control of major accident hazards involving dangerous substances. Article 30 concerns classification of heavy fuel oils. Establishments where heavy fuel oils are present in a specified quantity become subject to the principal and, in certain cases, to additional requirements as set out in regulation 3(1) of those Regulations
