This Order makes transitional provisions under the Land Registration Act 2002 (2002 c.9) ("the Act"). The provisions are in addition to the transitional provisions contained in Schedule 12 to the Act.
This Order applies to the repealing of article 2 (Survey and Cadastre Authority must carry out sector in geodesy) and enforces entry into force to 1 January 2005.

The present Regulations enact the Land Registration Act. The Regulations lay down comprehensive provisions relating to the registration of land. The text – consisting of 8 sections – deals, amongst others, with the following aspects: designation of counties, establishment of registration districts, prescribed fees and transitional provisions. One Schedule is enclosed.
These Rules prescribe fees payable to the Singapore Land Authority for the production of maps.

This Ministerial Decree establishes the modalities of keeping the state land cadastre, land registration and granting access to information thereof. The purpose of keeping the state land cadastre shall be to provide the state institutions, natural and legal persons with general information on land and on particular plots of land.
The President decrees to abolish the State Committee for Land Policy and the Federal Forest Service. By the same Decree the President decrees to establish Federal Land Cadastre Service as having acquired a part of the functions of the abolished State Committee for Land Policy.
The Government decrees that the Ministry on Land Policy, Construction and Living Facilities (MINZEMSTROJ) has the status of a Federal Authority responsible for the carrying out and coordination of the unitary state policy in the field of land relationship, construction, geodetic and map-making service, architecture, urban development, land registration and valuation.
The present Decree enforces federal legislation on the subject. In particular, article 1 establishes that the federal law determines the content and requirements of cadastral surveying.
