These Regulations are determined pursuant to Article 28, Paragraph 2 of the Soil and Groundwater Pollution Remediation Act. The soil and groundwater pollution remediation fees shall be levied on manufacturers and importers in accordance with the amounts of officially announced chemical substances manufactured and imported by such enterprises.The central competent authority shall determine the types of substances for which soil and groundwater remediation fees must be collected. Fee rates are shown in attached table 1 and table 2. The Regulations further provide for calculation methods, payment procedures, payment deadlines, the commissioning of professional organizations to perform audits, etc.
