Moçambique é um país em vias de entrar no complexo mundo dos países produtores de produtos energéticos. Um grande influxo de capitais tornou o país num dos destinos privilegiados do investimento estrangeiro, o que permitiu/facilitou uma gestão especulativa de receitas futuras. Receitas rápidas e avultadas de capitais e aumento das reservas de divisas permitiram políticas fiscais e monetárias expansivas, reforçando o padrão de acumulação sectorial, social e espacialmente concentrado e de realização no exterior.

O presente trabalho tem como objectivo compreender o que caracteriza os processos de solicitação, tramitação das solicitações e concessão de DUATs em Moçambique, olhando para diferentes zonas, género, tipo de agricultor e tipo de produção, assim como apresentar as vantagens e desvantagens de registar os direitos, consideradas pelos grupos-alvo entrevistados. O estudo realizado nas províncias de Nampula e Zambézia revela que os processos de concessão de DUATs têm sido diferenciados consoante a zona, o produtor e a autoridade encarregue do processo e a finalidade.

The NGO Forum on Cambodia, in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture, Forests and Fisheries, organized a national consultation workshop on 19-20 December 2016 on the sixth version of the draft Cambodian Agricultural Land Law. Illegal and irregular allocations of public land were a common feature of the Moi regime and perhaps it’s most pervasive corrupt practice. The Ndung’u Report as well as various reports of the Public Investment Committee details numerous cases of public land illegal allocated to individuals and companies in total disregard of the law and public interest. Most allocations were made to politically correct individuals without justification and resulted in individuals being unjustly enriched at great cost to the people of Kenya.

Almost one in seven people around the world are chronically hungry, lacking enough food to be healthy and lead active lives. This is despite the fact that enough food exists for all of the world’s people.1 Agricultural policies, the prices of certain food commodities such as meat and grain and economic development hugely impact food security, but demographic trends also play a role.

Climate change is a significant and growing threat to food security—already affecting vulnerable populations in many developing countries, and expected to affect ever more people in more places, unless action is taken beginning today. No que respeita à terra (e água), o objectivo principal da procura é a produção de commodities e alimentos (sobretudo grãos), com sistemas de produção em grande escala de monoculturas, sob formas de subcontratação e pela acção de traders para abastecer o mercado internacional, em especial as grandes economias emergentes (“economias baleia”, assim designadas por consumirem muito – China e Índia).

Detailed comparative analysis of basic lines of agrarian transformations in China and Russia has been done, its results have been analysed. Not only conceptual differences of the agrarian policy in those countries are demonstrated, but also consequences of concrete political decisions for the development of the branch. The differences are stipulated mainly by two groups of factors. The first of them is the opposite approaches to transforming land relations and the entire system of agrarian relations.

Over the coming 35 years, agriculture will face an unprecedented confluence of pressures, including a 30 percent increase in the global population, intensifying competition for increasingly scarce land, water and energy resources, and the existential threat of climate change.
