This Law establishes the basic provisions on mortgage, including mortgage of land, subsoil, forest, waterbodies and perennial plants, registration of mortgage and registration of rights to mortgaged property. The Act consists of 5 Sections divided into 86 articles: (1) general provisions; (2) types of mortgage; (3) levy of execution to mortgaged property; (4) protection against entrenchment on a right to mortgaged property; and (5) conclusive provisions.

This Law sets forth the rules and principles for determining land and soil resources and their classification, preparing land utilization plans, preventing non-purpose utilization, and defining the tasks and obligations to ensure land and soil preservation. Soil Preservation Boards are established in each province to examine, assess and monitor the activities related to the preservation, development and productive utilization of lands. Lands are classified as absolute farming lands, special crop lands, cultivated farming lands and marginal farming lands.

The Act is divided into the following Parts: Preliminary (I); Conversion of Tenure (II); Avoidance of Fragmentation and Regulation of Dealings (III); Certain Fees, Etc. (IV); Miscellaneous (V).The Land Titles Commission shall complete an adjudication record and shall enquire whether a Native wishes to apply for registration of any native land included in the record by agreement. Further provisions concern the procedure to be followed for said registration.

Cette loi porte des mesures particulières en matière de remembrement légal de biens ruraux lors de l'exécution de grands travaux d'infrastructure. En attendant qu'intervienne le remembrement légal il peut être procédé à un échange d'exploitation des biens ruraux et, à ces fins, un comité d'échange est constitué. La loi indique la composition et les compétences du comité et fixe les modalités d'exécution du plan d'échange.

This Law provides for the control on the transfer of rights in agricultural land in Jersey. Sale, transfer or lease of agricultural land requires approval of the Minister for Planning and Environment. The Minister may refuse consent to any transaction or may grant consent either unconditionally or subject to such conditions as the Minister thinks fit.

This Regional Law establishes simplified procedure for legalization of land rights, envisaging excessive of land dimension that can be inserted in the documentation fixing land rights after land survey practices with more accurate calculation of land area: (a) for gardening 0,06 ha; (b) for horticulture and vegetable growing – 0,06 ha; and (c) for subsistence farming – 0,06 ha.
