Urbanization is happening at an unprecedented rate and along with it arises challenges in many urban areas. My passion is in spatial planning, focusing on sustainable development of our cities and advocating for green livable spaces in the growing concrete jungles. I believe that despite having a great platform for guiding development through spatial planning: research and other factors like public participation, political good-will, technology advancements are all key aspects of making urban areas sustainable.

I have worked with various organizations and institutions in the public and private sectors. These include: Kounkuey Design Initiative (KDI), United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat), County Government of Kiambu, Kenya Institute for Public Policy Research and Analysis (KIPPRA), Umande Trust and Real Plan Consultants; all under different capacities.
