The Act consists of 95 sections divided into 8 Parts. In Chpater I of Part I the various types of agricultural tenancy are defined. Chapter 2 contains general provision as to new types of tenancy. Part 2 provides for the tenant's right to buy land. Part III concerns diversification of use of land under agricultural tenancy. A tenant under a tenancy mentioned in section 39(1) who intends to use the land for a non-agricultural purpose must send a notice to the landlord. The landlord may object to the notice of diversification under certain circumstances (sect. 40).

The Government decrees to validate the Regulation in accordance with Annex 1, to validate compensation norms for agricultural and forestry damages in accordance with Annexes 23 and to establish compensation factor for forestry damages and for land deterioration in accordance with Annex 4. Compensation royalties for agricultural and forestry damages are refunded to the republican budget. Annex 1 contains the Regulation that comprises 3 Sections subdivided in 29 paragraphs. Section 1 lays down the general provisions.

The Land and Marine Management Strategy for Grenada is a national strategy adopted by the Government of Grenada in 2011 to guide the management of the land and marine sector. The overall goal of the Strategy is to achieve integrated national development that is environmentally sustainable. The instrument seeks to develop a coherent framework with an appropriate set of strategies that will foster productive and optimal utilization of land, freshwater, coastal and marine resources in an environmental sustainable manner.

The Law provides for the application of taxes on lands on which have been carried out interventions financed wholly or partly by State funds (road building, water or electricity supplies, etc. etc.) that improved them. The rate tenants or owners have to pay is calculated as 50% of market value increase for that parcel of land.As far as the decisions of the board are concerned, article 6 establishes that the chairman of the board shall inform the Settlement Officer of the decision taken in respect of every application.

By this Decree, the rules were approved regarding permit for process engineering and agricultural activities in lands affected by landslide, flood, erosion, wind erosion, land subsidence, abrasion and volcanic mud as well as in wetlands. This Decree states that the State Committee of Geology and Mineral Resources shall be the authorized body for assessment of exposure and monitoring of exogenous geological processes and shall take measures against them.

This Regional Law establishes that maximum land plot area of agricultural land allotted for farming shall not exceed 30 ha, while minimum land plot area allotted for farming shall vary from 0,25 ha to 2,7 ha depending upon availability of agricultural land and decision by local self-government.
