Canadian Women for Women in Afghanistan

Canadian Women for Women in Afghanistan (CW4WAfghan) is a charity and not-for-profit organization founded in 1998 to advance education and educational opportunities for Afghan women and their families and to educate Canadians about human rights in Afghanistan. Our four main field program areas include: (1) Investments in Basic Education; (2) Community Libraries, Literacy and Books Program; (3) Technology for Education; and, (4) Public Engagement. Afghanistan’s Women’s Network

After the United Nation Fourth World Conference on Women in Beijing, China, where a group of women from various organizations and agencies of the United Nation participated; the theory to form a network for the Afghan women's cooperation and integration developed. With inspire from women's movement in different part of the world; finally, in 1995 participants (women) of the conference decided to establish Afghan Women Network (AWN).

Afghanistan Women Council (AWC) is a non-governmental, non-political, non-profit, non-sectarian Charity Organization founded in 1986 by the efforts of Ms. Fatana Ishaq Gailani and a group of Afghan women with an aim to assist Afghan women and children. The predominant objective of the organization is to enlighten women, improve their living conditions and strengthen their socio-economic status in society by their multi-lateral involvement in development activities. AWC is registered with the Government of Pakistan and Afghanistan as a charity NGO.

Its membership category are District networks, which are clusters of women’s Community Based Organisations (CBOs), Faith Based Organisations (FBOs) and NGOs, national NGOs, nationally registered FBOs and women’s professional bodies.

Collectif des Femmes du Mali

COFEM

Collectif des Femmes du Mali is one of the oldest non-governmental organization in Mali. Since its creation in 1991, this organization set a goal to fight for the empowerment of women of the country.   

At the beginning, the women who created this group had for goals to raise awareness among women about the necessity to empower and organize themselves; and make women understand that they can influence, and change their life condition.
