Comparative assessment of variants of biological restoration of drill cuttings

Journal Articles & Books
December, 2017
Russia

The final purpose of a package of works on recultivation is to create the desired conditions for activity of phyto-ameliorant crops (melilot, alfalfa), legume bacteria and oil oxidizing bacteria for cuttings slurry (CS) development. The activity parameters of legumes bacteria were studied in laboratory experiments on bean agar which showed that the introduction of calcium in the nutrient mixture 7 or more times increases the number of these bacteria in comparison with soda salinization.

Changes in physical and chemical properties of integrated cover soils with different methods and rates of phosphogypsum application

Journal Articles & Books
December, 2016
Russia

The studies were conducted in the Rostov region I 2009-2014. The object of research is black southern chernozems (zonal soils) and alkali fine soils, which make up integrated soil cover with more than 35% alkali. According to the scheme of the experiment, the effect of phosphogypsum (PG) applied in doses 5 and 10 t/ha on alkali and zonal soils properties at the background of deep tillage by application of accepted (overall application) and proposed (selective application) practices on soil complex has been studied.

Agroforest-melioration on Primorsky Territory: experience and implementation

Journal Articles & Books
December, 2018
Russia

Significant areas of agricultural lands of Primorsky Territory (664.2 thousand hectares) are subjected to various erosion processes, therefore they need to be conservated by afforestation. The purpose of the study is to develop scientific and practical recommendations on the creation and use of different types of forest plantations on agricultural lands.

Comparative analysis of application of fertilizing and reclamative means for the alkali soils reclamation

Journal Articles & Books
December, 2018
Russia

The aim of the research is to carry out a comparative analysis of the effect of phosphohypso-containing fertilizer-reclamative compost (FRC) and iron-aluminium containing fertilizer-reclamative mixture (FRM) on the properties of ordinary alkali chernozem. The object of the study is ordinary chernozem degraded as a result of brackish water (1.7 g per dm3 on average in years) irrigation of sodium sulphate-composition. Soil samples were selected in the Rostov region in autumn before reclamation and annually after reclamation means usage in layers 0-20, 20-40 cm on permanent dynamic sites.

Evaluation of splitting characteristics of magnesium improved soil by image analysis

Journal Articles & Books
March, 2014

This paper shows that rice husk ash (RHA) changes the mechanical property of magnesium improved soil. Splitting test was conducted on two types of soil (normal and mixed with RHA). Fracture process was qualitatively evaluated by image analysis and acoustic emission (AE). Thus, concentration of vertical stain and AE in spitting fracture appears different characteristics. By evaluating the mechanical properties from image analysis and AE parameters, the characteristic of improved soil is qualitatively evaluated.
