UNIDROIT is an intergovernmental, Rome-based organisation specialising in the harmonisa­tion and modernisation of private law rules at the global level, through international treaties and soft law instruments in several areas. UNIDROIT has earned widespread recognition for its activities in the area of contract law, in particular with the UNIDROIT Principles of International Commercial Contracts.

Land Equity International

LEI is an experienced, innovative and progressive international development consulting organisation specialising in land administration, land policy and land tenure. At LEI, we work with various public, private and citizen-led stakeholders to research, design, develop, manage and monitor land sector projects. We use only the best international and nationally based experts to consult and co-design land administration solutions, from field documenting customary tenure to integrated national information system strategies.

The Tenure Facility

The International Land and Forest Tenure Facility is focused on securing land and forest rights for Indigenous Peoples and local communities. We are the first financial mechanism to exclusively fund projects working towards this goal while reducing conflict, driving development, improving global human rights, and mitigating the impacts of climate change.

The Land Tenure Journal, launched in early 2010, is a successor to the Land Reform, Land Settlement and Cooperatives, which was published between 1964 and 2009.  The Land Tenure Journal is a medium for the dissemination of quality information and diversified views on land and natural resources tenure. It aims to be a leading publication in the areas of land tenure, land policy and land reform.

Its primary interventions are focused on land and forest governance, sustainable agriculture, biodiversity conservation, management of natural resources, small fishery, women empowerment and skill building. Empowerment of rural, tribal and fisher communities and marginalized groups through collective action and nurturing local self-governing institutions are at the core of ethics.
