Madam Speaker and Honorable Members, the vision of my Ministry is “Sustainable Land Use, Land Tenure Security, Affordable, Decent Housing and Organized Urban Development”.

The Mission is “To ensure sustainable land management, planned urban and rural development and decent housing for all”. The Mandate is “To ensure rational and sustainable use, effective management of land and orderly development of urban and rural areas as well as safe, planned and adequate housing for socio-economic development”.

The Ministerial Policy Statement is structured by Vote, as follows:

• Staff Establishment Structure Provides details of approved staff structure for each programme and project (including names of staff and vacant posts).

This is clearly demonstrated in the form of an organogram.

Mr. Speaker Sir, my Ministry has four Vote Functions namely; 1: Administration which comprises Programme 01-Finance and Administration, Programme 02- Planning and Quality Assurance and Programme 016-Internal Audit; Vote Function 2: Land Administration and Management which comprises programmes; 03-Office of Director, Land Management, 04-Land Administration, 05-Surveys and Mapping, 06-Land Registration and 07-Land Sector Reform Coordination Unit.

The paper has two main applications: it represents a model for pricing – which might be used by investment funds, or other organizations interested in agricultural land acquisitions; the interest is in buy/sell transactions - a financial mechanism could be created to facilitate these transactions. For example, the creation of a Land Bank or to attract land banking investment funds, which would have the goal to improve the transaction system, develop financial tools necessary for increasing efficiency, improving financial structure.

The paper analyzes the provision with spatial information and the mode of its use in rural municipalities. The purpose of this study is to examine the ensurance with spatial information about natural capital within the ATU. The study examines the content and issues faced by local authorities while collecting and managing spatial information . There are given some proposals on the development of the Information System of the locality.

Due to water scarcity, which is worsening due to climate change, rural areas often face the challenge of rural exoduses. Limited water resources restrict local farmers as the opportunities for cultivation in the fields are reduced. This makes rural areas increasingly unattractive. To strengthen rural areas, sustainable water management with a focus on water-reuse is required. Since treated wastewater is a daily resource with calculable quantities available, reused water can contribute to the sustainable strengthening of a region.

Since the Second World War, Poland has been undergoing an intensive process of transformation of the economic structure of rural areas, manifested, among other things, in the change in the occupational make-up of its inhabitants. The development of non-agricultural methods of management in rural areas has led to the emergence of multifunctional rural areas, where the role of agriculture as a source of income for the inhabitants is decreasing.

Seminario sobre Interrelaciones entre la Dinámica Demográfica y la Estructura y el Desarrollo Agrícola

Se presentan, los avances de la investigacion en relacion a los factores estrategicos del cambio demografico a nivel rural, estableciendo las areas que inciden en el aporte neto de un hijo adicional. Estas areas se integran en 3 categorias de analisis: contexto socio-espacial, insercion en la estructura productiva y area de politicas publicas. Finalmente, se avanza en una tipologia de estructuras agrarias de acuerdo a las caracteristicas de los factores de la estructura agraria vinculados al comportamiento reproductivo.

Las etapas iniciales del asentamiento fronterizo en la Amazonia brasileña se caracterizaron
por la gran intensidad de la afluencia de flujos migratorios, la deforestación y la rotación
de la propiedad. Cuarenta años más tarde, los hogares rurales están más orientados
al mercado y han desarrollado estrategias para adaptarse al ambiente local. A partir
