Reforming Urban Laws in Africa, A Practical Guide, was written by Stephen Berrisford and the late Patrick McAuslan. It provides hands-on guidance to officials, practitioners and researchers working on the urgent task of improving, modernising and rationalising urban legislation in the Sub-Saharan region.
Drawing on a survey of large-scale ecological restoration initiatives, we find that managers face contradictory demands. This publication summarized the activities of the project (Coping with water scarcity – the role of agriculture- Phase III: Strengthening national capacities in Lebanon). The project has helped improve the national, regional and local capacity to cope with water scarcity, as a result of an improved knowledge on how water is being used in the agricultural sector.
