The object of this Act is to ensure that land in Solomon Islands is developed and used in accordance with properly considered policies that are formulated on adequate information. There shall be a Town and Country Planning Board in each Province and in Honiara. The Minister may by notice published in the Gazette declare any area to be a Local Planning Area.
