This Regional Law establishes the modalities of performance of municipal land control by local government. Municipal land control shall be conducted in the form of ordinary and extraordinary inspections of legal persona and individual entrepreneurs. The subject of inspection shall be checking data and information contained in the documentation related to land tenure.

This Regional Law establishes that minimum agricultural land plot pertaining to public or municipal ownership that can be allotted to peasant farms shall be 2 ha, while maximum agricultural land plot pertaining to public or municipal ownership that can be allotted to peasant farms shall be 300 ha”.

This Regional Decree establishes the modalities of performance of municipal land control by local government. Municipal land control shall be conducted in the form of ordinary and extraordinary inspections of legal persons and individual entrepreneurs. This Regional Law delimits plenary powers between state bodies in the sphere of land relations.

This Regional Law establishes that public or municipal land plot can be allotted free of charge on condition of tenancy for maximum period of six year for family farming. It lists municipal districts eligible for distribution of agricultural land plots in accordance with the aforesaid terms and conditions.

This Act makes amendments to the Local Government: Municipal Systems Act, 2000 in respect of a wide variety of matters including municipal managers and acting municipal managers and other matters regarding the administration of municipalities.

This Regional Law lists categories of citizens eligible for allotment of plots of public or municipal land free of charge to citizens for individual residential housing construction. It establishes terms and conditions for allotment of plots of land.

A new definition of “owner” in relation to land or registered right in or over land is given in article 1, so as now to include also the authorised representative of the owner in Namibia. A minor amendment is made to section 14 concerning acquisition of agricultural land by the Minister in the public interest. A minor amendment concern notices to be given under section 78.

This Regional Law establishes the modalities of calculation of lease, modalities and terms of payment of thereof for lease of land plots of public land set forth for different categories of public land. Lease payment shall be calculated in accordance with regional cadastre indices set forth for different categories of public land. Lease fees shall be calculated on annual basis.

El presente Decreto aprueba el Reglamento para el desarrollo de las disposiciones de la Ley para la fijación de límites territoriales internos, que comprende la georeferenciación de los elementos de linderación en cartografía oficial de las circunscripciones territoriales.
