The scope of this Act is to protect and develop cultivation of arable lands with specific regard to requirements of environment protection and to safeguard and enhance profitable farming.Agricultural properties shall be subject to conditions of farming as specified in the present Act (sect. 2). Agricultural properties shall be real property registered as such in the register ("matrikle").

The Act regulates provisions for the transport Minister which is authorized to build a highway north of Naestved from Slagelsevej to Køgevej. In exceptional cases, the Minister of Transport may - at the request of owners - expropriate a property affected by particular restrictions within the project of this Act.

The Order sets regulations concerning additional measures on ecotones in rural areas. It applies to regulations on reducing marginal buffer zone width, as long as it does not affect the control of Heracleum Mantegazzianum (giant Hogweed) growth. The Danish AgriFish Agency shall ensure approval of requests for reduction of ecotones, which must be submitted by 1 November 2012.

The purpose of this Order is to compensate for the subsidy for marginal zone areas which are utilized for agriculture and that are eligible to the Single Payment Scheme and land with trees. In order to eligible, the areas must be located within one or more fields where there is an overlap of at least 100 meters between each field and the border zone areas with the same contribution rate.
