The FAO Legal Office provides in-house counsel in accordance with the Basic Texts of the Organization, gives legal advisory services to FAO members, assists in the formulation of treaties on food and agriculture, for which the Director-General acts as Depositary, publishes legal studies and maintains a database (FAOLEX) of national legislation and international agreements concerning food and agriculture (including fisheries, forestry and water).

Decree No. 96-II of the Ministry of Finance validating the Regulation on mortgage and land based credit.

This Decree shall be applicable to mortgage of immovable property and land based credit. It contains the form of mortgage contract concluded with peasant farms and establishes the modalities of access to land base credit. Immovable property subject of granting of credit shall include land plots, plots of subsoil, separate waterbodies, forests and perennial plantations. This Decree shall be applicable to individual entrepreneurs (natural persons), economic entities and legal persons irrespectively of the form of ownership.

The Act provides for the general principles of civil law of Estonia. Notably, it defines the concepts of movable and immovable property defining the latter as a delimited part of land (plot of land). The essential parts of an immovable are the things permanently attached to it, such as buildings, standing crop, other vegetation and unharvested fruit.

El objetivo perseguido consiste en prevenir la contaminación de las aguas subterráneas.

La commission d’indemnisation dans le cadre de l’expropriation pour cause d’utilité publique comprend un président (un Conseiller Technique représentant le Ministre chargé des Affaires Foncières); et des membres (le Directeur Général du Contentieux de l’Etat ou son représentant; et le Directeur National des Domaines et du Cadastre ou son représentant).
