The FAO Legal Office provides in-house counsel in accordance with the Basic Texts of the Organization, gives legal advisory services to FAO members, assists in the formulation of treaties on food and agriculture, for which the Director-General acts as Depositary, publishes legal studies and maintains a database (FAOLEX) of national legislation and international agreements concerning food and agriculture (including fisheries, forestry and water).

This Decree creates the Coastal Zone Protection Committee within the State of Rio de Janeiro - CODEL. It consists of 11 articles establishing composition, duties and competencies of the aforementioned environmental institution entitled to protect and develop coastal areas carrying out controls and managing these areas within the limits of the said State.

The Land Registration Rules under Section 16 of the Land Registration Act set forth procedures and principles of land registration. Registers shall be in the appropriate form prescribed in Schedule 1. A land certificate and a certificate of lease shall be in the appropriate form prescribed in Schedule 2. Other forms required to be used under the Act shall be as prescribed in Schedule 3.
