The present Regulations are made under the Saskatchewan Farm Security Act which affords protection to farmers against loss of their farm land. In particular, the Regulations provide fo the correct and efficient enforcement of some provisions contained in the afore-mentioned Act, especially pertaining to financial issues.
Soil Drifting Control Act (R.S.S. 1978, c. S-54).
The present Act lays down provisions relating to the control of tillage operations. Section 2 establishes that the Council of a Rural Municipality may, and shall on a receipt of a petition signed by forty resident ratepayers requesting the council to do so, pass a bylaw providing for the regulation and control of tillage practices which, in the opinion of the Council, are liable to cause rapid soil deterioration by wind erosion.
Subdivision Regulations, 2014 (R.R.S. c. P-13.2 Reg. 2).
The present Regulations are made under the Planning and Development Act 2007, the Land Titles Act, 2000 and the Land Surveys Act, 2000.
Saskatchewan Farm Security Act.
The purpose of the present Act is to afford protection to farmers against loss of their farm land. For the purpose of the present Act “farming” includes livestock production, poultry breeding, dairying, tillage of the soil, bee-keeping, fur farming or any other activity undertaken to produce primary agricultural produce and animals. Section 5 establishes that the Farm Land Security Board and the Saskatchewan Farm Ownership Board are continued as The Farm Land Security Board consisting of those persons appointed as members by the Lieutenant Governor in Council.
Treaty Land Entitlement Implementation Act (S.S. 1993, c. T-20.1).
