These Regulations provide compliance with the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Directive 85/337/EEC as amended insofar as it applies to certain categories of on-farm activities. They make provision for a statutory screening and consent system for these activities and also for environmental impact assessment for such development if it is likely to have a significant effect on the environment.

This Decree provides that before supplying data for land surveying activity having real estate registration purpose, the congruency between data contained in the uniform real estate registration database must be verified. If the discrepancy exceeds the allowable measure, the competent land office must proceed with the verification of data. Further provisions contains detailed rules concerning types of schematic maps regarding changes, measuring activity, area calculation, marking the land parcel line, periodical on-site inspections, format of supplied data.

The purpose of the present Law is to use the soil in a rational and efficient way, to conserve natural living conditions, as well as the beauty of the landscape. It regulates the requirements for buildings and plants with a view to ensure the proper use of land, as well as the beauty, safety and hygiene, of the environment including the protection of nature and cultural heritage. The interests of the population and of the local economy shall be taken in due consideration.

The purpose of this Act of the Czech National Council is to ensure protection of agricultural land which is a natural resource of the country, indispensable means enabling agricultural production and is one of the main components of the environment. Protection of agricultural land, its cultivation and rational utilization are the activities which also ensure the protection and improvement of the environment. This Act lays down some amendments and addenda to the Act on protection and usage of agricultural land. This Decree of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development lays down some amendments and addenda to the Decree establishing the program of agricultural activities in vulnerable areas. In particular, the present Decree establishes standards for the storage of manure and slurry for individual types of animals (originally specified in Annex 2 to the amended Decree) and standards of generation of nitrogen per one animal (supplemented Annex 7).
