This Notice of the President assigns to the Minister of Lands and Rural Resettlement - (a) the administration of the Acts set out in the Schedule; and (b) the functions conferred or imposed on the Minister save to the extent that those functions have not been assigned to some other Minister. The list of Scheduled Acts includes the Immovable Property (Prevention of Discrimination) Act, the Regional, Town and Country Planning Act, Rural District Councils Act, the Urban Councils Act.
This Act makes provision with respect to prevention of discrimination based on race, origin, creed, gender, etc.The Act concerns, among other things, prevention of discrimination in regard to public premises, commodities, services and facilities, prevention of discrimination in regard to sale, lease or other disposal of any immovable property and prevention of discrimination in regard to granting of the financing of land transactions and other financing.

4.1 The Agriculture Development Strategy (ADS) will guide the agricultural sector of Nepal over the next 20 years. The structure of the agricultural sector is expected to change considerably with agribusiness to grow faster. Strong linkages between agriculture and other sectors in the economy will be critical to the reduction of poverty particularly in rural areas where the development of non-farm activities based on agriculture will be fundamental for the growth of an overall robust economy, a more balanced rural economy, and employment generation.
This Regulation implements provisions of the Proclamation of The Southern Nations, Nationalities And Peoples Regional State on rural land rights and use. It applies to all types of rural land and lands used for agricultural purposes in urban territory.
El presente Decreto declara de emergencia nacional la conclusión del proceso de saneamiento de la propiedad agraria previsto por la Ley Nº 1.715, garantizando la participación de las organizaciones sociales y de productores (art. 2º), así como de las mujeres (art. 3º). This Proclamation aims at improving management and utilization of land and land resources for agricultural purposes in the Southern Nations, Nationalities And Peoples' Regional State. It applies to all land that lies outside of municipal borders. The Proclamation defines the right to acquire, free of charge, rural land by peasants, pastoralists and semi-pastoralists engaged in agriculture and the equal rights of women with respect to land and provides for the protection of such rights.
