The scope of this Act is to promote the ecologically-sustainable reindeer husbandry based on Sami culture, traditions and customs. The Act provides for rights and duties of reindeer herders; regulates the relationship with other economic activities having regard to the general interest; regulates the relationship between reindeer herders as far as necessary; and lays the foundation for administration and organization of reindeer husbandry. The Act provides for the establishment of reindeer districts which shall be administered by a district council.

“Crown range” means land included within the boundaries of a range district as established under this Act, but does not include land that is subject to a lease issued under the Land Act (sect. 1). Section 3 establishes that power is given to "regional and district managers" to grant rights over Crown range in the form of grazing licences, grazing permits, temporary grazing permits, hay cutting licences and hay cutting permits.

This Chapter defines offences of a miscellaneous character including: unauthorized disposition of certain foods by a person who has any responsibility for disposition of any food commodity donated under any program of the United States government or the State or Federated States of Micronesia government, violation of business license provisions; violation of section 401 of Title 18 (Conservation and Resources) is on unlawful acts of petroleum disposal; violation of public planning provisions; the keeping of any animal found to be a public nuisance; and the damaging of reefs.

Soil Conservation (Scotland District) Act.

This Act makes provision with respect to soil conservation in the Scotland District and for this purpose establishes the Scotland District Soil Conservation Board.The Board shall advise the Minister on the utilization of lands in the conservation area, i.e. the area as set out in the First Schedule to this Act. It shall also examine proposals concerning the conservation and improvement of land in the conservation area submitted to it under this Act by the Chief Agricultural Officer.

Order No. 80 of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food on use of reclaimed land of the blackland region for grazing.

This Order authorizes specialized organization “Agrolesomeliostroy” subordinated to the Ministry of Agriculture and Food to allot drained pastures of the blackland region on lease for grazing for the period of five years and to conclude lease contracts. Priority lease right shall be granted to farming enterprises which land has been expropriated for the period of drainage and land reclamation. The Order contains the form of model contract for lease of reclaimed land of the blackland region for grazing.

Pastoral Land Management and Conservation Regulations 2006.
