The present Act provides for agreements between land owners to build, widen or deepen ditches to remove run off from their properties. The agreements apply to new owners of the same lands until the municipally appointed engineer decides otherwise. The ditch cannot affect other owners’ lands without their consent.

The purpose of the present Act is to: a) provide for the protection of beaches and associated dune systems as significant and sensitive environmental and recreational resources; b) provide for the regulation and enforcement of the full range of land-use activities on beaches, including aggregate removal, so as to leave them unimpaired for the benefit and enjoyment of future generations; c) cont

This Law concerns the acquisition by the Governor of land for public purposes. It sets out the procedure for acquisition by agreement or compulsory acquistion and provides with respect to comepnsation to the persons who held a right in the acquired land. The Act also provides for temporary occupation and use of any waste or arable land are needed for any public purpose.

The Act makes provision for the adjudication and registration of rights and interests in land in areas declared to be adjudication area by the Minister. Land shall be adjudicated by an Adjudication Officer appointed by the Minister. The Minister shall also appoint Demarcation Officers, Recording Officers and Survey Officers. The Act sets out the principles and procedure of adjudication.

The Act requires landowners to register Africans residing on their estate for the purpose of growing any economic crop for sale or performing any agricultural work. “African” means any person who is a member of an African community indigenous to Malawi, Tanzania, Zambia or Mozambique.

The present Law lays down comprehensive provisions as to the functioning of the Land Registry of Brandenburg. Article 1 establishes that land registries have to be kept by the tribunals of first instance and that the relevant Land Registry Ordinance is to be applied. Article 3 lays down provisions relating to registration of mining properties. The text consists of 7 articles.

This Act defines powers and duties of Curator of Vacant Estates in respect of vacant estates and provides for the administration of such estates by the Curator.The Officer of the Curator of Vacant Estates is created under this Act and the Curator shall be appointed by the President. “Vacant Estates” shall comprise vacant successions and unclaimed property.

The present Act requires the Mariana Public Land Corporation to waive prior requirements or limitations regarding agricultural homesteads for persons that can demonstrate that for a continuous period of 15 years they have actually occupied public land and used for agricultural purposes.
