The present Law lays down provisions relating to a general regional land use planning, a charcoal planning and restructuring planning. Such activities shall be carried out with a view to attain a sustainable development and, in particular, to restrain their impact on the environment. Article 14 of the Ordinance establishes the Charcoal Committee of the Land Brandenburg whose headquarters shall be in Cottbus. Its main function shall be to render acceptable to public opinion the exploitation of charcoal. The text consists of 22 articles divided into 3 Parts as follows: Regional planning (1); Charcoal planning and redevelopment planning (2); Final provisions (3).
