The FAO Legal Office provides in-house counsel in accordance with the Basic Texts of the Organization, gives legal advisory services to FAO members, assists in the formulation of treaties on food and agriculture, for which the Director-General acts as Depositary, publishes legal studies and maintains a database (FAOLEX) of national legislation and international agreements concerning food and agriculture (including fisheries, forestry and water).

Item 4 shall be amended to add the following wording: “List of free (vacant) shall be supplied and monthly updated by the local executive bodies and made available through internet on information resources and official web-sites of the aforesaid state bodies.” Item 8 shall be amended to add the following wording: “Plots of public land shall be allocated to Belarus nationals on condition of ownership in accordance with cadastre value thereof except for plots of land allocated thereto through auction sale.”

Land relationship in the Republic of Belarus is regulated by the Constitution, Presidential Decrees, by this Code and other Legislative Acts that implement it. Civil Code regulations are applicable to land relationship with regard to provisions established by land legislation. The document consists of XV Sections that contain 36 Chapters sub-divided into 164 articles. Section I lays down the general provisions. It contains Chapters 1-12. Section II establishes the rights and the duties of land-tenants, landlords and the owners of the plots of land.

Article 13 shall be amended to add the following wording: “Citizen registered for the purpose of allotment of land plot prior to entry into force of this Regional Law, shall have the right of allotment of a plot of land in ownership free of charge in accordance with the modalities set forth by this Regional Law with the conservation of the order of precedence as established by the registration”.
