La Déclaration de politique foncière rurale de la Côte d’Ivoire a pour vision «la sécurisation des droits des détenteurs coutumiers, des concessionnaires et des exploitants ». L’objectif général de la politique foncière rurale est d’assurer la sécurisation foncière rurale, en vue de la réduction de la pauvreté en milieu rural, du renforcement de la cohésion sociale et de la gestion durable des ressources naturelles.

Le présent décret limite les fermages. Notamment, l’article 1er établit que le fermage maximal d'une terre donnée en location est son revenu cadastral non indexé multiplié par un coefficient. Le fermage maximal d'un bâtiment donné en location est son revenu cadastral non indexé multiplié par un coefficient. Le texte comprend 13 articles.

This Law defines the legal, organizational, economic and social principles of conducting smallholding activity. Smallholding (individual peasant farm) shall be a business activity that is carried out without the creation of a legal entity by an individual or by family members or relatives that live together in order to meet their personal needs through the production, processing and consumption of agricultural products, vending of its surpluses and the provision of services using the property of a private peasant farm, also in the field of rural green tourism.

Le présent arrêté du Gouvernement wallon met en exécution le décret du 20 octobre 2016 limitant les fermages. Notamment, l’arrêté du Gouvernement wallon définit les régions agricoles présentes sur le territoire de la Région wallonne.
