This Declaration rectifies the Resolution of the Council of Ministers approving the Regional Land Use Planning of Alentejo. The amended Chapters and Sections establish several and important amendments to the Regional Land Use Planning of Alentejo.

La presente Ley modifica la que tiene por objeto regular el uso y aprovechamiento sostenible y garantizar el acceso de la población a las zonas costeras marinas y lacustres, así como de las islas que tengan población permanente, en aspectos relacionados con el funcionamiento de la Comisión Nacional de Desarrollo de las Zonas Costeras (CDZC), que estará coordinada por el Instituto Nicaragüense de Fomento Municipal (INIFOM).

This Resolution consisting of 89 articles divided in X Chapters aims at defining the obligations and requirements to be followed to maintain the internal and external environment free from pollution. Chapter I deals with the studies of environmental impact aiming at confining the negative impacts during the various stages of the project.

These Regulations prescribe various matters in connection with the making of an application for development consent as provided for by the Planning Act, 2008. They set out requirements in relation with applications for consent to be granted by the Infrastructure Planning Commission.

These Regulations provide for the grant of development consent for development which is, or forms part of, a nationally significant infrastructure project. The Regulations impose procedural requirements, in particular, the carrying out of environmental impact assessment (EIA) in relation to applications for development consent and in relation to applications for subsequent consent, which are applications for the approval of requirements imposed by orders granting development consent.

This Resolution of the Council of Ministers, consisting of 21 articles, approves the Regional Land Use Planning of Alentejo (in the Annex), which specifies terms and conditions to be satisfied in order to perform any activity related with environmental planning, disaster preparedness, touristic areas, waste disposal, protected areas, etc.

This Act is a compendium of various matters related to conservation and environmental protection and management and preservation of historic sites. It empowers the Minister responsible for managing the environment to designate certain land or marine sites as "protected areas". Areas that may be designated as such include national parks, nature reserves, botanical gardens, marine reserves, historic sites, scenic sites, or areas of special interest.
