Federal Land Cadastre Service (ROSZEMKADASTR) is the Federal Authority entitled to exercise the state management of land resources that carries out executive, control, authorizing, regulating and other functions as regards the keeping up of land cadastre and the state valuation of real estate property, land survey, valuation of land for cadastre purposes, land monitoring and the state control over the use and protection of land. Federal Land Cadastre Service has its local (territorial) branches at the regional level. It supervises the functioning of the state unitary enterprises and agencies. This Decree establishes that the functioning of the Federal Land Cadastre Service is regulated by the Russian Constitution, by Federal Laws, Decrees and Orders of the President and of the Government of the Russian Federation and by this Statute. The President of the Federal Land Cadastre Service is appointed and dismissed by the Government.
