The FAO Legal Office provides in-house counsel in accordance with the Basic Texts of the Organization, gives legal advisory services to FAO members, assists in the formulation of treaties on food and agriculture, for which the Director-General acts as Depositary, publishes legal studies and maintains a database (FAOLEX) of national legislation and international agreements concerning food and agriculture (including fisheries, forestry and water).

The Act consists of 9 articles, divided into 4 Chapters; General Provisions (I); Objectives and Essential Duties (II); Responsibilities and Authorities of the Chairman (III); Miscellaneous Provisions (IV).The main duties of this Organization include planning, policy making and organizing the implementation of all rules and regulations regarding lands and land affairs.
Marine Act (Northern Ireland) 2013 (2013 Chapter 10).
This Act establishes a strategic system of marine planning in Northern Ireland’s inshore region (as defined), provides in part for a modernised licensing and enforcement regime and promotes the United Kingdom’s aim of establishing an “ecologically coherent network of Marine Protected Areas”, so that marine biodiversity is protected and international and European commitments are met.

This Decree consists of seven chapters of which only a few are still in force. Those in force regard mapping and surveying activities of forest lands and the control and evaluation of annual forestry management works.

Law on land tax.
The aim of the Law on land tax is to provide incentives for the land users and local governments towards a more rational use of land in their jurisdictions. All land which has been allocated for use by a decision of the state or local government, described in the land register and physically presented to the user is subject to tax. The local government sets its own tax rates for land within its jurisdiction allocated to physical and legal persons for agricultural uses. The Law includes 3 Appendix relating to provisions on tax rates in different areas.
Order No. 555 of the Ministry of Economic Development on cadastre registration of the objects of immovable property.
This Order establishes the modalities of state cadastre registration of the objects of immovable property by the Federal State Registration Cadastre and Cartographic Service. Application and the respective documentation shall be submitted to the cadastre registration authority in the electronic form and shall bear electronic digital signature. Survey map of land plot shall be submitted to the cadastre registration authority in the electronic form and shall bear electronic digital signature of the cadastre engineer in charge.
